K & L Roofing

BEWARE OF THEIR FAKE POSITIVE REVIEWS! COWART, SKILES, AND MORE ARE FAMILY/EMPLOYEES OF THE BUSINESS! I received a cease and desist letter from K&L owners demanding to remove my reviews. They also threatened to sue for $250,000 if I didn't comply. This is my true experience in dealing with this company along with my factual findings. K&L was hired after a hail storm had damaged my home. They were contracted for replacing roof, hvac, garage door, windows, and fencing. Roof was not fully replaced leaving damaged components and exposed nails. One hvac unit was replaced with a unit not sufficient to cool the home properly. Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation inspected and reported 10 violations, no permits were pulled. No repairs were done to the other unit. Fencing was of abysmal quality, with several hazardous nails and screws exposed, requiring a full replacement. Garage door and window replacements was incomplete. K&L submitted a completed invoice to my insurance and collected payment. I made numerous requests to finish the work or refund the amount of work needed to replace and finish. My initial complaint to the owner went unanswered for a month! An invitation to the owner to visit my property to view my disputes went ignored. Evidence of pictures, other quotes and contractors estimates, and the TLDR report were sent to K&L in hopes that they would take responsibility. K&L made promises to complete the work, weren’t followed through. A tiny partial refund was given but not an acceptable amount. At no time, did I accept a resolution. I communicated with K&L over the course of several months trying to reach an amicable solution. I have paid approximately $10,000 to other contractors to finish or replace K&L’s contracted work. They all confirm sub-par quality in workmanship and materials.
