in the 90's, my 3rd grade?.... maybe.... class from Love Elementary officially cut the ribbon of this playground. I'm glad these mega wealthy hipsters have left this place alone so far. I used to walk to this park during the summer as a kid to play baseball with other random kids. Around noon-ish they used to serve food/snacks in the little building there. I recently moved back to Houston (Humble area) and so many memories of my past have been taken away by privileged yet "hip" adult kids of the Heights. Friend's houses destroyed for fake as Victorian era houses but worse of all, those flippin domino style houses or townhomes. Gawd those tall skinny jeans version of houses are so gross! (See. 26th street between Nichols and Ashland) They even tore down the Fiesta on Shepherd. No pinches mamen guey, neta? Se la lavan estos gringos ricos caras de masacuata! RIP that awesome post office on 11th and Yale. What have they done to my Heights :'( 'ches puuuuts!
