Baylor Emergency Medical Center Colleyville

The service was fine. I arrived & was seen after a minute or two. I paid my expected co-pay of 350$. After checking with my insurance on the coverage. So, my visit was 5 minutes at most. They wrote me a prescription & I was on my way. My surprise came a month later in two envelopes. One for Baylor EMC, for an additional 426$. Lets keep in mind the total they billed for the 5 minute service was 1109.63. Then the second envelope was from 24 hr Physician, Inc. They billed me 380.30 and after insurance adjustment a payment due of 277$. So the bottom-line is I spent 5 minutes in this facility for a prescription and was billed a total of $1491. To you & me that's a pretty incredible hourly rate of almost 18K. That's the kind of money I'd love to be earning. So, my prescription cost me a total of $1053.52 out of pocket expenses. My insurance company disagrees with the method that they coded the bill. They said my total for the visit should have been 350$. I will never frequent this medical facility again.
